There are so many reasons I love coordinating a wedding day and it’s couples like Sophy and Christopher that make my job an absolute dream. Sophy has been a longtime friend (going on 18 years of friendship) so when she approached me to coordinate her beautiful wedding, I shouted a resounding yes.
Sophy was such an organized bride which made coming alongside her vision an incredibly smooth process. We outlined the timetable for her gorgeous church ceremony and fun reception, ensuring that all of the details went off without a hitch!
Upon landing in Dallas, we were met with monsoon like rain. Luckily, all of Sophy’s events were indoors but who likes rain on their wedding day? However, God must have heard our prayers because the day of Sophy’s wedding there was not a single rain cloud in sight.
Sophy’s color palette was a deep maroon, soft blush pinks, and white tied together with a touch of gold for good measure. To compliment Sophy’s bridesmaids in maroon, Alpha Decor Dallas, crafted lovely bouquets of soft pinks, whites, and greenery.
In the morning, in place of a first look, Sophy and Chris exchanged sweet letters in a “blind look.” They reached for each other around a corridor and you could tell just by their giggles and smiles that they were so excited to tie the knot.
Sophy and Chris shared their vows in the chapel of the stunning Ashton Gardens in Dallas. After the ceremony, the guests took a very short walk next to door to the reception ballroom at Ashton Gardens. The chapel and the ballroom had floor to ceiling glass windows allowing for natural light to come in at every angle. It was in a word — breathtaking.
At the end of the reception, the guests lined up for a sendoff that was truly one for the books.
